The Carroll Group builds a bright future with the help of apprentices
The Carroll Group is delighted to announce the recruitment of seven new apprentices.
The intake includes three apprentice joiners, two apprentice roofers and an apprentice Quantity Surveyor, all of whom will work for Carroll Build.
Sian Jones has begun a two year apprenticeship in Business Administration for Aintree-based Carroll Waste.
The Carroll Group, which is part of The Sovini Group, is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility and providing employment opportunities in the areas they work.
Terry Carroll, The Carroll Group Managing Director, said: “As a growing business we want to ensure we have the skills to equip us for the future. A big part of that is offering first class apprenticeships across all aspects of the work we cover.”
The Sovini Group was last year recognised as one of the leading apprenticeship providers in the UK.
Although the majority of the new apprentices are in the infancy of their careers, 33-year-old Apprentice Joiner Anthony Brown has previous experience in the trades and other sectors.
Despite being in work he leapt at the opportunity to start a new journey with Carroll Build.
Anthony, who began his two year apprenticeship in September, said: “I started in the building trade when I was 18 and then I worked in IT for six years. After a time I needed a change of plan. I’ve been looking to gain an apprenticeship with The Sovini Group for a while and I’m loving it. Carroll Build is a really good company.”
Anthony will work towards his qualifications at a local college, in conjunction with gaining practical experience with Carroll Build.
He added: “I’ve been doing proper joinery from day one, working on a development of luxury new build properties in Formby. I really enjoy the work. A lot of trades are outside but doing joinery means I can work whatever the weather.”
All within The Sovini Group enjoy a host of benefits above the statutory offer, including annual bonus, onsite gym, enhanced annual leave and corporate discounts.
