A number of our staff volunteered in a charity plane pull at Liverpool John Lennon airport (LJLA) last month to help raise vital funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
As part of a Sovini Group team staff pulled a Boeing 737 aircraft weighing a whopping 40 tonnes, one heck of a challenge! Staff toughed it out at LJLA and helped raise over £2,500 for the cause, joining businesses such as Matalan, Peel Ports and Santander.
The money raised from the plane pull will be added to more than £80,000 already raised by LJLA for the charity during the last 12 months.
Roy Williams, The Sovini Group Chief Executive Officer who took part in the event at LJLA said:
“We are delighted to have taken part in such a great fundraiser event, well done to all involved and thank you to Liverpool John Lennon Airport for asking us to take part.”
